Hello,

I have the Denon d2000 since 2011, using it with a fiio e17. This phone has always served me very well, my use is to play games and hear music.

I was reading some review on the Fidelio X1 and I was very interested in the project, I am quite inclined to buy one. The problem is that I'm afraid to disappoint me and he would not be as good as the Denon d2000.

Has anyone had the opportunity to test both? It's worth buying a Fidelio x1 already having a D2000 or its a waste of time?

Any comments are welcome!

Sorry for my English, its not my first language.

Thank you!

I have recently replaced my Denon Ah-d2000 with a pair of X1. Actually, I still have the Denon, but I don't use them anymore. In my opinion, the X1 sounds more realistic for gaming and movies. The Denon has more bass, but it is too muddy for me. If you've never owned a pair of open headphones, I'm sure you'll be happy with the X1.

To me it only comes alive in movies dolby headphone I don't hear them shine playing flacs

I'd say they are airy wafty bass with slightly recessed veiled mids and treble with very nice positional sound 5.1 etc in movies.

Ideal for general use but don't have that crystal clear punchy clarity I like that puts a smile on my face with music.
