i recently bought akg k845 and kef m500 to know if they would be an upgrade soundwise. they are not. not as good details and same soundstage at best. so maybe i can find a serious upgrade in the ath line. which one would have a similar signature but even more details, better separation or in one word: analytical. i listen to classical and ambient most of the time so i like an airy spacious well separated and very detailed sound signature.
