Yes, the DX90 has been shipping for the past week and we're all too busy playing with our new DAPs to  post in the thread, that's why there has been no posts.

I have the DX50, I will be buying the DX90 the very second I get the chance and I have access to the DX100. I just might know a guy who knows a guy who might have an in with the chaps at Chord, making a Chord Hugo loaner a possibility. (Might).
 
Reckon I should shoot Calyx an email and ask if they're up for a shoot-out if I cover shipping back and forth for the M?

Love to read your impressions.

I am intrigued of the Hugo but a little torn of deciding if I should just get the Yulong DA8 instead and save a few bucks...no way to demo the latter but read great review and saw some experienced headfiers using it...

You got my seal of approval, very interested in the Hugo, the specs blew my mind but the price a hole in my wallet.
As for the Calyx M hope you get a chance to sample it I am so curious about it. Price wise we know who's the winner but can it stay that way sq wise?

I've got the itch to get a decent DAP, and I've been following both this thread and the X5 thread to help with my decision.  I'm soooo excited about both players, but I'm leaning towards the DX90.  I had initially looked at getting the DX50, or even a used DX100, but I'm using all restraints to hold out for the DX90.  This is too exciting!  I wish they'd give a specific release date tho'

Well the same size as the Dx50, dual Sabre dacs, new amp section. . . . I think it will be well worth the wait.

Excellent idea Sorensiim, go for it.. I know we'd all be interested in your conclusions...
 
p.s. I'd also love to know how the humble DX50 and its siblings fare against the ludicrously expensive AK240..  I wonder if it would be possible to get hold of a loaner?
