I also find this reviewer's opinion's "questionable". Thanks for the effort of translating and posting here though, but the guy does say a lot of odd things...

the 64Gb's seem to be the same price as this 128, and im not even gonna bother with the Chinese brands.. the cheapest on amazon are 20 euros, this  and because of my big library im looking for higher capacity, but fake stuff is everywhere.. do you have a reliable seller for those 1/3 price 64's?

Amazon sells sandisk 64 ultra for $42 and 64 extreme for $66 but that US.

This is why it is good to get your own opinion from listening. I agree with a little of the review above and have all the daps, but much I find very off. Also, and this is very important, the DX90 requires no less than a few hundred hours burn in. I don't care if you believe in burn in or not, I have heard the changes and have compared to other daps as it goes along and the burn in is real and significant, to my ears.

Seems like that's what the burn-in cable is for then

Yeah it was a bit confusing as well. I find it hard to believe that the dx100 excels in pretty much everything over the dx90 and x5.

For those of you fretting about not hearing from iBasso, I know it's not great, but seriously - it's par-for-the-course, with iBasso. It's the one thing I dislike about them - their poor communication, but please remember that they're in the middle of a major product launch, so e-mail correspondence is something they may not have enough time to deal with - they've probably got a couple of thousand e-mails in their inbox!

It was exactly the same situation for me, when I bought a DX100 (and that was 2nd batch, so not even during the main product launch!) - no tracking number for several days (more than a week, actually), and not even a confirmation of the receipt (other than the automatic transactional receipt from Paypal).

I'm not making excuses for iBasso, and I have no affiliation with them - I'm just saying, as one head-fier to my fellow head-fiers, that the above is probably their situation, and it is absolutely normal to not hear from iBasso regarding order confirmation &/or tracking number, &/or other correspondence, for many days after ordering a product from them. It's poor customer service, but still... it's normal for them, so don't get anxious, even though you're eager to receive your DAP. In my case, I actually received a tracking number AFTER my DAP had been delivered to the UK!! (via DHL).

So....

While you are waiting, I recommend asking your local pharmacist for some of these:

and, if all else fails, I can personally recommend either of the following

Nice response. I say go for A team! Haha

What's funny is that I actually got an answer from them the day after I ordered. I guess I won the lottery. They must have picked one random e-mail to answer and it was mine. They said that they have received my order and was confirming. Nice.

Anyway my only concern is that I'll miss the DHL man. Do you guys think I need someone home to sign for it or will they just drop it off if I leave a note at the door?

Yeah, something is really going on up there. I sent them a couple mails today and yesterday and have not gotten any response.

It was stupid of me to make a mistake of giving them the wrong unit number for the delivery address. I am trying to get them to confirm that they are shipping mine to the correct address. Anyone has iBasso's contact number I could call?

Dhl is able to search shipments via zip/postal code and country of origin.

Try calling them tomorrow and request the package be diverted to a depot for pickup. Hopefully iBasso ships the dx90 tomorrow.

I found the review helpful in general, but agree that it would have been more helpful to have posted the headphones that they were using to make the assessment. I also agree with jamato8 that these players with better amps require a bit of burnin as it is taking a bit to get my X5 back to the quality of the well auditioned tour unit. However, I never felt the DX50 needed burnin, but that could have been covered up by the apparent signature changes that were occurring with the firmware updates. Regardless, a burn status for each player would have been useful as well.

Someone asked about how long the DX90 runs with the 4400mA battery and using the external OTG. I get around 8 to 9 hours. I use the external chip all the time. It is so easy and fast. The sd slot is also nice, as the DX90 scans new cards pretty fast but have these two options has worked out well. Using the silicon case and the 4400mA battery is the way I go. If you don't use the OTG and want to go light, using just the 2200mA battery and whatever portable phones or even the nice home phones like the Fostex TH900, works well. I am finding more and more that the internal amp is very transparent and layered. I look forward to impressions but please, allow time for burn in.

+1 Burn-in a must.

What you really want guys - bang for buck wise and considering the USB Otg capabilities - is this little gem

Note 3 tapatalking....

interesting indeed but i have stumbled across something i used to know about but forgot for sometime, now seeing it has advanced a lot.
http://www.tarkan.info/20121226/tutorials/ipod-and-sdhc-sdxc-cards
giving the possibility to just upgrade my ipod and theoretically use bunch of cards  without the need of buying a new device.
only question arises now is how the SQ of the ipod video compared to those new devices, frankly i enjoy my ipod together with my Blox ANV3se  quite much! if theres no significant SQ differences, i see no reason, atleast in my case to go for any of those DX50/90 or FiiO since their user interface is worse than ipod imo.

The difference in SQ between an iPod Classic (on it's own) and a DX90 is likely to be substantial, if my experience with the DX100 is anything to go by (I have owned a 5.5 and 6 generation iPod Classic and consider their SQ to be, quite frankly, bl00dy appalling).

I already have a 128GB usb 3.0 stick which unfortunately doesn't work on the DX 50.. But I'll definitely try again on the DX90.

Thanks philiptw, that gives me a better understanding of their descriptions.
