You may or may not like the sound and operation of one of the newer firmwares better. Going back to 2.0.0 can be a pain or impossible (if on Mac).

I updated it to 2.1 already. I realised there is now  a digital filter setting. How good is this? I used the batch tool and at some point my ibasso would not start up. Scared the **** out of me. I had to uninstall the faulty drivers smhw can manually installed the drivers that came with the batch tool (rockusb). Then finally it detected.

I suggest you try each settings yourself and choose which settings sounds best. Including each FW versions. Take note that going back to 2.0.0 is not straight forward.

I am having problems copying music to it. I do not have sd card yet but trying to put some music in interal memory. I can't seem to finish copying because after a few minutes or seconds that its connected, then an error pops up saying cannot verify where the memory is. Its like it lost connection to the internal memory. Why is this so?

after this occurs. The recognition is split between dx90 (E:) Fat 32 and the other removable disk (F:) and cannot copy anything into those

Try using a different USB port, one that is directly connected to the back of your computer or laptop. I had the same problem as you when I used external usb connection on the front of my computer case instead of direct ports.

Oh god thank you!! So it was jus the port? LOL i was scared I had a faulty/defective unit. Me receiving a defective vsd3s yesterday was already bad, but if my first dap (dx90) were to be defective too. What is my luck haha

Plugging through my usb3 port replicator the computer does not see the DX90 but plugging directly to one of the buikd ports on my computer works fine

Based on what I've read here, I've kept my DX90 at 2.0.0 and have been very pleased with the sound (unamped, into a Shure 846) for about a month now.

That is, until I switched back to my old Sansa Fuze (pictured below).  As much as I don't want to admit it, the sound is cleaner and more extended through the the Fuze.   Is it time for me to experiment with the other FW versions?

Oh I am loving the sound coming out of the dx90

. Quite the upgrade from HTC one. The CKRs 9 pairs quite well with my dx90. I am very happy with my purchase

The Fuze is a decent player. I ditched mine as I hated its stock firmware (rockbox wasn't yet available) and the hiss was, while not bad, higher than I prefer. In terms of output quality, for the price, Fuze is a big hitter. But so is the DX90, which has a measurably cleaner signal, an audibly less noisy signal, etc.

Does burn in changes the dx90 significantly? Because I am already loving how they sound. I just wonder how a sound can be better improved than this. Never tried the Aks lineup yet.

They actually included a burn in cable. Shouldn't that mean something?

I wonder if those services naturally close themselves after turn on when not finding conduits as it would on a PC?
No, they don't. If you manage to connect with adb to the player, you'd see them all active in the list of processes.

Actually, faster start with my changes is mostly exactly due to removed asian fonts. They are 2x20MB!

I'll post a description in a better (than Google-translated by you) English later
