You could test the ASIO4ALL Wrapper Driver. It should do some kind of latency compensation. But keep in mind: the use of ONLY ONE ASIO Driver is allowed at the same time.
www.asio4all.com

If having stuttering and dropouts your overall system could have some issues.
Test this with the DPC Latency Checker tool from the "thesycon" it's very well
known. Or use the DPC Latency Monitor, which shows you the drivers which
are causing the stuttering by showing their Hard-Page-Faults.

The very best & serious Guide to optimize your system for audio and reducing
overall latency, input lag etc. is here : ( it's woth to read the hole thread )

Hey all... Just wanted to start sharing some of the DX90 measurements I made today with the prosumer digital recorder. First of all, Slow Rolloff vs. Sharp Rolloff, 16/44 signal:

The cost of the slow rolloff filter can be clearly seen. Less ringing in time domain (not shown in this graph), but also slightly less treble. I'll share other measurements tomorrow, but I can announce, the results are highly respectful! Bravo iBasso!

Interesting. I never noticed a difference between sharp and slow roll-off on the DX90. Probably just my ears. I'll be waiting for the rest of the measurements, nice job!

A person from whom I borrowed the equipment asked me to refer to it as 'good analog-to-digital converter'. This isn't a PC board
Other testing details and conditions: my iBasso DX90 with 4200mAh battery and 2.2.0L0 firmware. For this test, 44/24 signal via headphone out, high gain, volume 244. White graph shows the 1Khz tone played via headphone out without headphone load. Green graph: the same conditions, but with the 250Ohm Beyer DT990 plugged in parallel using 1-to-2 jacks adapter. At 1Khz it's not the noise, it's the test signal itself. The rest of the spectrum is the sum of the noise from DX90 and its harmonic distorsions. As you can see, the noise floor is highly respectful, and the harmonics are minimal, even with DT990 plugged in parallel. Fan-tas-tic results for so small package for DAC+HEADAMP inside the DX90. As for the frequency response, it stays perfectly flat with my headphones plugged, so I'm not even posting the graph.

Please help me.

I just upgraded to V2.2.0L0 (then did a factory reset as always recommended).
And now I cannot downgrade it using RKBatchTool.
Have already followed the steps on first page, installed the drivers, and the RockUSB device is installed correctly.
(But then Device Manager still shows RockUSB device with a question mark)

After hitting Upgrade, I get a "Check Chip Fail" message.
Tried changing to a different cable. Didn't work.
Tried a different laptop to do the upgrade, I get check chip fail also.

Anyone?

I had this issue a few months ago

How I resolved the problem : use the 2.0.5. from Ibasso (an orignal, don't use 2.1.0 L2 or 2.1.5. L2 ), and then click on restore. Don't click on upgrade !

Btw, I have a 64GB SD card. May I know what format should I format it? Using the SDFormatter, formatted it in exFAT, seems to cause black screen when rescanning media library.

"The Cost" are the right words.

Ugh, rolloff starting at 13,5 - 14KHz...

Good work ! Give me more charts...
What Card you used for the measurements ? Near the same output i got with my RMEs.

I feel the same way. Some people are looking to squeeze out every little nuance and bit of detail with crazy expensive amps and headphones but then proceed to use slow rolloff.

At first I thought to myself it's more of a mood thing for when you want a more relaxing presentation, yet I always find myself in sharp rolloff mood...

Works like a charm! Quoting for anyone who would find it useful.

From 2.2.0L0, used 2.1.5 with RKBatchTool and Restore (instead of upgrade). Successful downgrade to 2.1.5
After that copied 2.1.5L2 into internal storage, and did a Settings > Advanced > System Update.
(Then do a Factory Reset, and check System Info, should show DX90L2, V2.1.5)

Overall from 2.2.0L0 -> 2.1.5 -> 2.1.5L2

Thank you for posting the graphs and your comments. We work to do our best.

@Paul - iBassoI'm using FW 2.1.0 and I am loving the sound signature, especially with Dynamic IEM's, I'm not touching a thing, what is the point? I have had my DX90 for almost a year and still loving it. What I would really like is a dual Wolfson 8741 0r 8740 DAP from Ibasso. just sayin.

Total agree !

But we could find digital filters that measure "dull" but sound bright. Some filters rolloff above 16kHz and you think
it would sound dull. But instead these sound more open and clear then a 20kHz "sharp rolloff" Filter.
To take this all together : a measured bandwith cannot tell the whole story. What a funny world...
For the DX90 filter the world is ok. Slow rolloff sounds dull and sharp is linear.

Just got mine. To me, it sounds bassier than neutral, and definitely bassier than the Zune HD I was using before. I'm noticing a huge difference with full-sized cans like the HD700. Apparently even with an amp the Zune was doing a pitiful job of powering these, whereas the DX90 fares much better.

It looks like I'll want to rerip my CD's in FLAC instead of 320kbps mp3, so what programs do you guys recommend for this? And how can I format it to make sure the DX90 reads the music correctly and sorts it properly by artist, track number, etc? Playing from the SD card in folder mode right now, it plays the songs in the wrong order. Even with the track number in each song file and the name of each track as "(track number) - (song name)", it skips around.
