I suppose one good thing about having amber-coloured CIEMs is that, as well as looking fantastic with gold-coloured flakes (seriously, big kudos to John for excellent artistry, there), they have the bonus that they camouflage the appearance of earwax on the canal tips!
 
 

 

 
Not sure I'd really like a pair of 'amber' CIEMs with ancient fossilized mosquitoes in them, rather than gold flakes, but it would be rather unique to have ancient mosquitoes in your ears whilst sitting on the bus, ironically listening to Dinosaur Jr,   or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzY2Qcu5i2A

Not the entire moulded shell, no, but I suppose it could be used for faceplates, attached to amber-coloured acrylic shells.
 
 
 
 
Probably won't be long before Fiio or iBasso start offering optional case colours, like Dell do with their laptops! (I'm half joking!)

Well I upgraded my cable on the TH900, ESW10 JPN, and the LCD2 and with the wire that was used, heard an improvement, which I don't always do. So if you have wire you like, why not. It is good to have projects that involve manual, mental and finally aural enjoyment. I need to stay active also. I get fidgety. Most likely that is why I have so many IC's I have made and in the past, all the modifications I have made, including my own designed and built equipment. Sometimes what is envisioned as a step forward is a step back but hey, you don't know until you try but the more research the better the outcome, right? Yea, right. :^)

Sorry to disappoint, they're just amber colored acryllic, not actually amber. And with gold flakes, not mosquitos. I do know exactly how you feel about needing to stay active. I have ADHD so either my mind or my hands will be racing at full speed at any given time.

I personally am not crazy about silver plated copper, it messes with the frequency, IMO and that is what I hear. It also depends upon how it is done but often there isn't much thought to the thickness other than it is plated. 
 
ADHD is getting worse rather than better, can't stand it at times. In the past I was super busy in ICU with bad things going on but under control and still got bored. ??

Yes, that is what I am using. The best I have never heard. Seems to have no signature, just lets what is at one end through to the other.

I was really just tieing together the aesthetic aspect of Gold K10's with matching Gold Cables to put the finishing touch *Bling* on Sorens dream setup...

I appreciate the input, but I was merely looking to build a new cable to keep myself busy and there is just plainly no way (lottery winnings aside) I will be paying that sort of money for cables. I judge my gear purchases by their ROI - Return On Investment. Cables this expensive are so far beyond the point of diminishing returns that I'm not even considering to go down that route.
