Hey fellas,
Can anybody tell me anything about this?
I'm looking at getting one from the 'Bay for a play about with. I just love the FM band but feel that all these digital-synth tuners seem to be lacking a certain something in their sound. I've decided to have a go with an all analog one for a while and this seems reasonable.
From what I gather Emerson is a US brand, who often have top names OEM products for them. Perhaps this tuner is a Yamaha in disguise?
Here's the specs that the seller has published.
Output level control
MPX filtering
Muting switch
Band selector - LW, MW, FM auto, FM mono
Wavelength selection indicator LEDs
Signal strength LED meter
Optimum tuning LED meter
Weighted, balanced tuning dial (very nice feel to this!)
Illuminated display panel
Connections for external FM arial, either 75 or 300 ohm
Connection for external AM arial
All in all it seems like a nice buy and worth taking a chance on although there doesn't seems to be anything particularly fancy about it. Just a solidly built unit.
Oh BTW, i'm bidding as M0NNT and i'd really appreciate it if I didn't get into bidding war with other head-fi'ers
