Schiit Amp and DAC

I have the HD650 HP.  I'm looking to get the schiit amps and dac.   What do you think is best?  The Lyr + Modi  (total $600)  OR Asgard 2 + Bifrost Uber (total is $670).  Which is best?  I have around $600 to spend.  Also I will be using it with my macbook pro retina 13.  It has the toshilink output.

Aren't you supposed to spend more money on the headphones than the amp?

Well, following that 'rule' would prevent anyone from ever buying this $18,000 amp unless they own a Sennheiser Orpheus

I'm one of the many who use the $119 schiit vali with the $1500 HD800s... so you definitely don't need to spend more money on your amp than your headphones.
