Aurisonics ROCKETS: Impressions Thread

Hey peeps. From what I've read from some fellow members, they would favor the ER4S over the Rockets for whatever (valid) reason they pointed out...but for all you Rockets owners: What made you favor this set of iem over the Etys????

Wanted something bulletproof. Wore them on the beach last week and got some sand on them. Quick rinse in the sink and they were fine.

Well they have a waterproof rating of ip65, so going by that:

IP65Protected from total dust ingress.Protected from low pressure water jets from any direction.

So you really can shower with them, but probably wouldn't want to submerge them. Gonna have to get a waterproof case for my Clip+ and try it out lol

Still waiting on Spinfits, still like these a lot and have been able to get a good seal with a shallower fitting. I hope the next version, if there is one, has a more ergonomic design for over-the-ear use (like my GR07s). That would be killer.

Innerfidelity measurements are out. They seem to correspond well to most listening impressions in here. Nice job Aurisonics.

I've been on a Heaven V kick lately so I need to try them out again. I don't remember hearing like an 18dB drop from 1k to 4k, but who knows.

Impulse response looks nice and tidy though and bass seems to have minimal roll. Maybe that 6db thing that isn't a thing is coming in to play here?
