Need help with a headset for ps4

I don't have a home theater setup but I am looking for a nice quality gaming headset to pair with my ps4.  I was contemplating getting the audio technica m50's to pair with a mod mic but not sure if that would work with the ps4.  Any suggestions on this setup or recommendations on another?  Thanks!
