Hi,

I can get a pair of Audio Technica ATH-CKM 500is for $52.99 + tax on http://www.accessoryjack.com/audio-technica-ath-ckm500is-in-ear-headphones-for-smartphone-red.html

Should I get this or something else at this price point? I dont want to spend over 70-80$ at all.

To give you some context, I currently use an Etymotic Research MC5. While I love the noise isolation and the mids and highs in general, I feel that it lacks bass.
Also, I wouldn't mind getting away from the full insertion model.

So, what did you end up with? I'm in the same type of dilemma right now. I've basically narrowed it down to the Sennheiser mm70s ($75) and the Audio Technica ATH-CKM500iS ($50). I need the controls to work in Android since that's all I'll be using it with.

I bought a pair of these recently, along with a slightly less-expensive pair, just to compare them to earpods.  The AT earbuds remind me of Infinity speakers:  tight and clear in the mid- and upper ranges, and absolutely no bass.  I realize that earpods aren't the pinnacle of IEMs, but for 30 bucks and my hearing, they're far superior to the ATs.
