After that discussion on the HD700's, decided to go for the HE-400s and save myself some cash. Didn't know they were out and the response to them makes them seem like a deal even at retail price. For anyone considering buying and if you have Discover, don't forget you get 5% back at Amazon this quarter.

Nice! Are 64/128 microSD cards generally that cheap now? Would buy a few if I had the cash in reserve.

Yup, saw this. days ago about them getting it. So, how is this amp copared to other amps on the market for a similar price? What headphones would it pair well along with the O2? Im am quite interested.

This is an excellent deal. Search the Head-Fi forums using Google. You'll find plenty of discussion about the Objective 2 amp and comparisons to other amps, as well as DACs people are using with it. :)

For $69 it's an outrageous steal. They pair pretty well with just about anything that isn't an ortho. IMO, the O2 really works best with fun-sounding headphones - some of my favorites with it would be the DT990 250 ohm Pro, the DT770 80 ohm Pro, the Grado SR-225i, the Fidelio X1 and the Beyer T1. (The T1 can obviously scale much higher, but it does have a very good synergy with the O2 that I genuinely enjoy.)
