No--unless it has flashed on and off--that deal was long gone hours ago.

And now it has flashed on again.

I wouldn't have posted it without checking.

Anyone know What this thing is? Strange description on echo

Got it--I checked it twice.  It was gone twice.  The third time it was back.  Had a similar experience with a deal yesterday.

Scizzro,

I recall seeing something like that in my cousins' stereo system when our family visited them when we were kids in 1984.

If I'm correct, it's a device that adds a sort of roomsound/reverberation to the playback. I'm just making a guess, but I remember seeing something that was identical to that receding oval hole on the device my cousin had.

As music played, the different steps going back inside would light up in and out at different intensities, level by level, and respond interactively with the music. I remember switching the effect on and off and marveling at how the music sounded so echoey and cavernous sounding when it was on.

Of course, it now seems to me that the effect was way over the top and highly artificial, but it was neat to my young ears.

Now, I could be totally wrong. Even though that receding oval hole looks very familiar, I actually though my cousin had a Carver system, and the holographic device was also a Carver - I recall some catchphrase like Sonic Holography, or something like that. It's been so long now... Maybe a shared technology with Pioneer?

Hope you get a better read on what it is.

For another $10 you can get one from AmazonWD. It'd be easier to return and refund should anything be wrong with them to Amazon than a 3rd party. Not to mention prime shipping

But are only "very good" and their feedback is 4% less favorable.  I'd probably gamble with the new one and use Amazon as a backstop.  However, it's one of those "up to you."

'Very good' = new but maybe slightly damaged or missing packaging

Bought DT990pro & DT 150 both well under £80 on WHDs. Plus ps500s for £250. All mint all described as very good.

(Warehouse dealers are a beyer lover's best friend)

The Philips Fidelio X1 for $169

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B3QD94O/

This is a lightning deal so it's only available for a limited time or until it sells out.
55% sold

This is a really good deal on a great headphone!  Last time it was this cheap was a year ago when they had it for $150.

I did find this for about $120 on a sale at some point recently, but that is hit or miss. These are great cans, and I was kicking myself the last time I missed it at this price.
