So, I have a problem - the X1 output seems to have stopped - both line out and headphone out. I can see that track is playing. I get a second of sound and then nothing.
Same with line out via FiiO K2 (with FiiO cable).
Tried different headphones - same.
Reset a few times - same thing.Volume controls show as working.
FW 1.6. Samsung 64 GB micro SD - been fine for a year.
Any ideas?

Nah, im just kidding. You can claim warranty if its not expired already. If not , you should ask James or Joe Bloggs for help. Hopefully they can solve the issue.

Amazon purchase, I think it's too late to return to them.
Can't understand why it's suddenly decided to stop working, I'm very careful with it. Headphone socket detects headphones being taken out - it pauses the play.

Is this happening? If so , i might have had the same problem as well. It was due to the firmware update.
 
Anyways , try this : First , re-update the player with the latest firmware version , then do a factory reset. Mine worked fine after that.

Not sure if it realy a problem or a serious issues atall! This hapenning to me as well, and it's ok like that. This way, when i replug my IEM back, it resume at the same part of my song, from when it have Auto-paused. Have not updated to the new fw yet. I'm still on the 1.3 And have any problems.
What I dislike more, is when I turning on the unit, it start playing autom. I will prefer to start playing music by myself, in pushing the center button.

I kinda wish the rockbox port would be faster...........
 
btw, if i were to change firmware to rockbox, would there be any drawbacks? Any at all even if tiny?

Listening experience with female voice are excellent with this unit. Diana Krall, Adele, Norah Jones ... My X3ii arrive soon. A new listening experience is comming! :D
For G3... I pass on this one!

I would save up the cash to get an X3ii and skip the X1 entirely. Its just a lot better.
 
But if you really need a DAP around X1 price range, Try the Xduoo X3 . Its SQ edges out the FiiO X3ii but the UI is very basic. Basically a very well done all-the-essentials player.

I would like to do that but right know I won't spend more than $100 for music player since I need the money to continue my study. Xduoo X3 is not available in the store that I go (Jaben Malaysia). I want a DAP because volume in G3 sucks. Increase by one level and it too loud. Reduce by one level and it too low

I dunno if anyone reading this thread is looking for an X1, i finally bought a portable DAC so i'm looking to sell my X1 for a higher end FiiO with USB DAC capabilities.
