I bought a pair of momentums on eBay for 209.5 and I'm having my doubts whether these headphones I got are authentic or fake. One thing is that the wires that connect the ear cups to the headband are black instead of red. I believe they might be a Chinese counterfeit.

Yeah I believe the headband and earpads are made out of leather but the cable jack for the smart remote doesn't the that input hinge and it doesn't lock when I twist it into the headphones

First: do you have an iphone? the controls wont work on android, only the central button in some cases. About the locking mechanism I have no clue. I see that some sellers are from hong kong, from who/where did you get them? The stainless steel headband and leather cups will be expensive to produce and chinese usually save in those areas when copying headphones.

They're pretty sharp but not to make my fingers cut and bleed. This is my primary concern though.
Shouldn't the wire be red and not black?
Also the smart remote is only fixed straight instead of being able to fix it at a 90 degree angle

The wires are black and NOT red.
Also the remote wire you're holding should be black and the headphone jack should be having a moving mechanism
