6DOIT!

I picked up a copy of 6DoIT a couple of days ago and have been listening almost exclusively to it. Great material and performance....but, where is the dynamic range on this recording? I had to stop and play another disc a couple of times to make sure nothing was wrong with my equipment. Talk about a dead recording!

Yes, I did notice that it was overly compressed. IMO it goes without saying with new CDs, which seem to be compressed so they would be loudest when playing on the radio, even if none of the songs will ever play on the radio. It also sounds somewhat heavily EQed

. But, the music is more important, and that is truly excellent.
