There is a show going on in Japan

Well, I pretty much got the same sound out of the J3 + a portable amp combo.

The thing is, the J3 + Amp delivers 60 hrs of play time....  but twice the size (thickness) and around twice the weight.

The P1, nice size, nice weight, good sound.....

less play time....

but more convienient.

It is hard to say which is better etc etc.  I guess on a budget the J3 is better, no budget worries, the P1

Phew. Sounds like I'm OK sticking with my X5/E12DIY stack then - my wallet thanks you!

Hello Wizard. I'm kinda hooked to the Prestige line and I was thinking if we could have more pics like the one posted in this forum with several IEMs from you guys and amongst them the Prestige.

However, in this picture they're not taking center stage which I certainly wish they would. What I'm looking for here is to see how the Prestige looks in normal ambient light.

Sure, photos can be taken so they look nice and shiny, but if I were to buy these I'd like to see them shot in many angles and lighting conditions since it's a hefty purchase. What do you think? (and yes, I checked your FB already, but didn't find what I need).

Kind regards,

John

Thus far, there are only two Prestige CIEMs in the world.  One set owned by Jude, and the other owned by Brannan. Those sets are both made from "Wizard Wood" and both those sets are currently at a show in Japan.  (which makes providing non-professional photos shot via a phone pretty much non-feasable)

We have some ordered, and they are in the build process now. As more Prestige products are made, more pictures will be provided.

As far as what does the Prestige look like in Normal Ambient light.....

That is also determined by what type of material the Prestige is made from, IE  Solid Wood, (amboyna) Wizard Wood, Matrix, or Carbon Glass

Truth be known, all of the Prestige materials have had either CIEM or IEM face plates made from the available non-prestige CIEMs.

Examples:

Matrix

Matrix

Blue Carbon Glass

Red Carbon Glass

Amboyna

Wizard Wood

So essentially this is the situation....

In the past, we have built a face plate out of a specific material (Wizard Wood, Matrix, Carbon Glass etc etc), with a "Prestige" we take that same face plate material, and carve out a entire CIEM  (shell & Face Plate) with the material.

I was able to hear the K10 universal cabled with the Wagnus Sieve Sheep( Wagnus' flagship cable-$1000) today at the Fujiya-Avic Show in Tokyo and I absolutely enjoyed what I heard from the combo. I wish I could've had more time with them, I guess there's always next time :).

Thanks for taking the time to write. I was interested whether the shininess of the CIEMS (in the pics posted on FB) is not due to special effects, etc.

It seems that if I were to get a pair, I'd have to go for Carbon glass' shininess and any of the woods you've included. I think that (if possible) would be a great combination so the CIEM looks shiny and new all the time.

At the moment, what sort of lead time from the time Noble receives the impressions? For say a 3C with standard no frills colors?

The Wagnus Sieve Sheep is made from a rare vintage copper wire from 1950, by a German company. It has 60 braided strands wrapped in a pinkish colored silk. It's tuned for a natural vinyl LP type sound and for detail, and it delivers them both in spades. Noble owners should definitely have a listen with this cable (or any Wagnus cable) if the opportunity ever presents itself.

At this price I hope it also has a phoenix feather core.
