I'm in school right now so i'm looking for a really good pair of headphones that won't get damaged easily since i will be putting them in my backpack. Something stylish, but not like beats because I hated the sound quality in those. I like the style of Sol Republics headphones and beats are okay but I heard both are not that great. What's a good pair under $120 ish. I'm hoping that the chord can be removed from the headphones, since I always break the chord.

Does not have a removeable cord, but other wise it should do the job (for traveling around in your backpack).
JVC HA-S500 folding headphones, $60.

This may get some hate but for stylish, detachable cord (although it is very flimsy IMO) and in that range you may want to go to bestbuy and check out the skullcandy aviators. Typically skullcandy gets a lot of hate in this forum but the aviators actually have a pretty decent sound. Normally they are $150 but they are having a sale on the brown/gold version right now for $75 which bums me out a bit because last week the blue & white ones were on sale for $68 but not the br/gold ones. Had I known that I would have waited and got the brown gold ones this week for $5 more. The cups look plastic but are actually polycarbonate and the phones have a lifetime warranty.

Here is a link but I would recommend you go and give a listen.

Also if you are using an iphone/ipod they have an in line mic/controller that works with them.
