Replacing it with an AK300! I personally don't think the AK300 sounds any better, I demoed it yesterday. But I love the build and UI of the AK players. Not to say that the ZX1 is a slouch in the design department, it's definitely not.

My ZX1 battery is back to being flakey again.  Now, it will be at 90% charge and shutdown due to low battery.  Wondering if a factory reset will work.  I think I'm going to get the PHA3 for now using my Xperia phone as a source.  Then probably get a WM1A. Not seeing enough upgrade with the ZX2 for the same price.

the zx1 needs to have a FM antenna, dont know if it has one or not

It does not need to have any, the headphones cord acts as the antenna while it is connected to the device, at least it was like this on my Z1060 Walkman. Thus it would just be a matter of finding the right FM app. I haven't tried it yet on my ZX1 though. It's just theory, I may be wrong.

I am not sure the ZX1 has an FM radio tuner built in to it. I have a Sony tablet that does, and it came with an FM App. I would assume the ZX1 would too, if it had a tuner. Then again, it's Sony so logic doesn't always apply.

I don't know wether the ZX1 has got a radio tuner, it has likely got none, otherwise it would have a a built-in FM app like had the Z1060. It's the big companies logic, they believe to know best what their products must be like.

​LOL yes, why bother to buy such a device to listen to radio which at worst is like mexico's radio system bad BAD QUALITY, the classical music station is next to ulistenable
