Oppo shows prototype of headphone amp/DAC/pre-amp

Interesting - a beefier version of the headphone amp found in the BDP-105, and with some additional features to boot.

If the BDP-105 is any indication, this DAC / headphone amp is going to measure very, very well.

Exciting!

Here are a few more pics, OPPO UK popped in yesterday for a couple of hours for me to play with the PM-1's and the HA-1 as I couldn't make the UK launch event unfortunately, have to say that the amp is pretty awesome, love those VU meter's, drove the HE-6's with ease also so not a bad start :) Look forward to spending more time with this combo once officially released.

"Maybe in a month" should be "maybe in this month".

And while we all wait for some kind of official announcement, you can read the HA-1 User Manual already. Someone already discovered the manual using Google (what can't you find?!) so I have permission to at least give you guy's access to the manual as well.

Will the balanced cable for the PM-1, and the longer 3.5mm mini-phono cable, be available when the  amp is released?  My PM-1 should arrive tomorrow, and I'm already thinking about getting the HA-1.

A 2m and 3m balanced cable will be available at the same time the HA-1 is released. The longer 3.5mm cable is something that we are still constructing, so we do not know when we will have this available for purchase.
