I have had etymotic hf5's for over a year and I'm currently selling my HD650's due to lack of use and wanted to upgrade my It's as mines are on their last legs. I have a fiio E17 from my HD650's that I'll be keeping.
I was wanting a good upgrade and was happy to spend up to £300 for something that will last me a few years and is available in the UK.

Any help is appreciated

For that money, why don't you get a CIEM?

I had always thought from the posts I had read that they were for the $1000+ range, £300 is a long way off.
Is there any manufacturer you can think of in the UK that would be suitable?
Also the post I read about ear changing over time meaning they won't last forever and it kind of kills it if I want to sell them a year or so later. I'll check it out if you have a link though, thanks!

Maybe the Shure SE425 or SE536, also check out the T-Peos for a more aggressive soind. If you can stretch your budget I highly reccomend the final audio design Heaven VI.

Did you mean the SE535? I can't find the 536 online.
Is there much of a difference between the 425 and 535/6? I almost bought the 425's yesterday but couldn't decide on a colour...

Ramdomkid meant SE535. I just got the T-Peos H-100 yesterday. I didn't really like it's V shaped signature and lack of mids (this is before burn-in). The SE415 are not very good value for it's asking price. I think it's possible to get a CIEM for a bit more than £300. When your ear changes shape, you can always re-shell them I think.

Have a look at these too:

1. T-Peos H-200
2. TDK BA200
3. Vsonic GR07BE

Should be better value than the SE415.

Cosmic Ears. Based in Sweden, so no additional taxes/import duties if you are buying in the UK. Extremely competitive pricing for CIEM's, far cheaper than anyone else, £300 will easily buy you something well towards the middle-top end of their products. I can recommend both their CIEM's and their company from personal experience as a customer of theirs.

They look great, being done online how is it that they get their impressions?

You go to an audiologist, get a set of ear impressions taken, and then post those impressions to Cosmic Ears. As part of Cosmic Ears ordering process, there is a form you download that you take to your audiologist, which specifies exactly how the ear impressions are to be done.

The reviews on the HF3 seem to say low bass and the BA4's are too, plain. Can anyone thats done more reading on them than myself help me here.
I was also looking at 1964-Q Quad and V3 Triples.

There is a BA4F available too that is less neutral and more bassy than the standard BA4

I see you have the HY3, from a nights worth of reading it sounds like they may be better for me.

I was just curious as to how the run without an AMP, I have one but there's times that I'd like to be out without the AMP
