I just picked up a Beyerdynamic DT100 400ohm and was wondering if anyone else has had experience with it. If you have, what is your opinion? I'm having a hard time trying to come up with a description for their sound; the best I can think of is that it's veiled (especially some vocals) but at the same time pretty revealing. The treble is decent and there is a distinct lack of bass, but the bass that is there is clean and clear. My apologies if my description is a little incoherent, but I'm stumped myself as to how to describe it. It doesn't sound particularly pleasing with anything I've put through it so far, but it's also "different" enough from all of my other headphones that I'm constantly intrigued to keep listening to different stuff through them. Will burn in help the "veiled" sound or is this just characteristic of this headphone? Or do I have a defective pair? I'm running it through an E9 at the moment.
 
 
 
Oh and as a side note, this is one of the ugliest headphones I have ever seen.

I like the construction, and I like the fact that my pair has previously served at a relatively well-known metal studio, but that I like the sound isn't something I can claim.
