Hello there,

I am looking for a fullsize pair of headphones and have a good offer for a pair of used Sennheiser HD 580 Jubilee. Now, these headphones can easily be 15 years old. Would you consider, they are not as good anymore as they were when newly bought? I.e., they sound significantly worse than a new pair of HD 600? Or maybe I must assume they are alright, but break entirely within the next years?

Opinions appreciated

The only age-type effects that would maybe effect the sound of the headphone would be the cable (which is removeable on the 580), if it were worn out, or dust that would have gathered in the 'phone (which could be easily cleaned) as the headphones are open
