I have a pair of Hifiman HE-400s and I just ordered the Schiit Modi/Magni combo to power them.  I love what the Digizoid Zo (First release with fixed gain) does to the sound of the 400s, but am not sure the best place to put it in the source/amp chain. Any recommendations? I was thinking between the DAC and amp, but I was concerned the gain would overdrive the input stage of the amp. I could put it after the amp, but I am not sure the effect of the amp and the gain of the Zo. I suppose I will find out soon enough when I get my Schiit stack, just wanted some opinions.
