Hi!
First of all I want you to excuse me if I make any grammatical mistakes because English is not my first language.
Secondly, like I wrote on the title, I need new headphones; I listen to american Rap and R&B music almost exculsively so I need something that fits me perfectly.
I know I have to avoid Skullcandy, Monster, etc but I tried my friend's Beats by Dr. Dre and I didn't like them at all, I listened to two minimalistic produced tracks on purpose to try the bass: Monster by Kanye West ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3af4Gz4Daw ) and Anti-Freeze by Pac Div ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-IWe949aFQ ) .
With Kanye's song I noticed a big problem: the drum's bass was like an earthquake (and I liked that) but it literally ate Rick Ross' (the rapper who raps the first verse) deep voice.
With the second one I experienced something similar: I couldnt hear the voices like I wanted but this time it was cause of the heavy bassline not cause of the drums.
So, I want something that sounds like an earhquake in my ears when I'm playing minimalistic produced rap or southern rap but I also want to hear the mids and highs because, as a lot of you may know, there are a lot of soul sample presence in hip-hop with violins, pianos, guitars, trumpets, etc and I want to hear that too; I dont want the bass to "eat" them, I want to hear all the sounds with a good bass; and on the minimalistic tracks I mentioned I want the bass to shake my head.
Plus, lots of R&B singers are present in hip-hop tracks and I want to hear their voices clear BUT I dont want high pitched voices like Justin Timberlake's to destroy my eardrum, for example in this track (wich has way more instruments than the others I posted) ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-h-Yt-9ugs )
Surfing the internet and reading reviews I found the Ultrasone HFI 580, or maybe the HFI 780 the most referenced to similar cases, but I'm not 100% sure so I wanted to ask you guys! I also read a couple reviews about V-Moda but I know nothing about them, Im a newbie lol!
In terms of price I can afford something between 100-160€ (132-210$), and the headhones should be a full-sized closed ones because I listen to a lot of music while in the street/bus/noisy places.
Thanks in advance for all the responses!
