I am looking to trade or sell my Denon D2000 wired phones for the Sennheisers and was just looking for someone who has owned both and could compare them. I know they are two totally different beasts but the idea of being free from wires (i have an HTPC setup) is very attractive to me and my current situation. I have read that even though the D2000's can be easily driven, they would benefit from an amp. I currently have them wired straight into my Xonar DX and I dont plan on upgrading any time soon. So with that in mind, would a pair of 180's paired with a Xonar DX give me similar quality to what I have now? I am more a fan of deep bass than clear highs so my EQ is set accordingly...will this translate well to the wireless phones?
