If I were MH, I'd ask for volunteers to send the headphones in for review, or send in donations for a good cause

I do have the m-100s as my fun, bass headphones. I also liked the sound signature of the H6, so I do like the more neutral sound as well. However, you might have something about the fit affecting the sound. The K545 just would not hit my ears at the correct angle, no matter how I adjusted it. Again, I'll try to really spend some time on them next time I see them on demo.

I have the m100s and I loved the k545 when I took my glasses off and pushed them against my head. Obviously I'm used to the clamping force of the m100s but without pushing the 545s against my head I lost all bass response. It sucks because I love love love the sound sig. So my search for that sound continues.

That's what I'll have to do to play around with the fit. It'll be a tough sell though, the P7s are currently fitting the bill for me (and with the on1s due to arrive too).

MH, PM me and I will send you my K545 for reviewing. I will miss them like mad but will take one for the team.

Less.  They've really toned it down in the new Studio which is why it's starting to get a bit of praise from a sound quality point of view.  Not nearly as bloated and obnoxious.

Okay so I went to the local headphone store today and tried the DT1350s, the HP50s and the Mikros 90s. The M500s are currently on backorder (which says something; the man running the store also spoke very highly of them) and I didn't have time to try the PSBs.
 
Firstly, the Martin Logans are not in the same category as these two (or most of the headphones on MHs list) They are a very laid back sounding headphone that don't really excel at anything. They also sounded very boxed-in to my ears and lacking in clarity (tried them with techno, classical, rock). Lastly, despite having an attractive design (comparable to the B&W line), they don't quite feel as solid as the B&Ws (or the others mentioned) and are incredibly uncomfortable fit wise. So the Mikros, at least, are not for me.

The DT1350s, which I had tried before, are a very nice sounding headphone. As others have mentioned, they are very clear/analytical with a subtle warmth that works well for classical, jazz, vocals, etc. However, those who listen to a lot of bass-driven music would not benefit much from these. Also, these are another pair of very uncomfortable headphones. While I like the split headband design, the cups are incredibly small and the strain on these becomes unbearable after a short period of time. They are well built, but the cord isn't the best of the lot, and it's not detachable. So the DT1350s also, are not for me (though I already knew this, was just curious to try them again). 

Now, the HP50s. Boy do I like these. Incredibly comfortable, the pads on these are much better than the P7s. They are also lighter than the P7s which is a plus in my eyes (though they are not quite as well built). Sound wise, they are quite balance but lean slightly toward a darker signature (though others have said they are more bright?), which works well for bass-driven music as well as all the other genres I tried it with; one track in particular sounded better on these than anything else I've ever heard it on. So yes, these deserve their praise. My only qualms with them are that aesthetically, they aren't the prettiest (especially not on the head), and they are just quite large, but I am willing to let this slide considering the quality of everything else.

Won't say I'm sold on the HP50s until I try the M500s (and the H6s again). But as of today, my next purchase will be between the three just mentioned. Thanks again for your work MH, I hope you continue with this as it has thus far been very helpful/accurate.  

Just gave the H6 another chance at B&O's shop today at Orchard a Road. The first one, had a channel balance problem and sound a little veiled. The second pair sound very very neutral but lacking in sub-bass and the mid-bass could hit slightly harder for it to sound better IMO. I find it something like K550 but with better fit, no upper-mid bump and much less bass. Pretty comfortable although it does not fully cover my ears (still the last bit touching the pads, not the driver). Very soft pads and the build quality is just...wow! The price though xD

On the side note, BeoLab5 was really good except for the slightly piercing sound which is bothering me for long term listening. At SGD 34k, I am not sure if it's worth it xD but the BeoLab3 is definitely worth a try. A lot of technologies were put in these two speakers to make things sound as good as possible for it's size IMO

OK. Coolguyalex. The ML sounds nothing like you described. The last thing I'd call them is laid back; in fact it's quite a forward sound. They are entirely recording dependent, so listening to bad recordings isn't an option. The ML is actually MUCH better at really everything than those other two. Bass, midrange, treble, detail, etc, all much more coherent.

Was the memory foam not in the right place. YOU MUST check the pads. The difference in sound can be huge. You must also check the fit. I absolutely HATED the Mikros out of the box and now they're my favorites, even without an amp.
