01net is a good french website but it has a lot of limits. Their reviews are sometimes totally wrong because they often don't take a lot of time to make their reviews, in addition of that these reviewers are not very expert in "earphones' category.

They speak more about "un manque de chaleur" = a lack of warmt/The sound is not enough warm. But perhaps they didn't burn these headphones ?  He is reviewing headphones with an audiophile profile, maybe this reviewer prefer the warmth instead of the clarity ?
This reviewer is speaking about an iPhone output, and as far as I know this is not a very powerful output. 
And top of that, they don't say anything about the soundstage :-/. ​

Most AKG headphones, to my experience benefits with burning in.. Sony to me, don't

I'll def get a pair of these to go with me to work and commutes. This is lovely news! I'm a long time AKG lover, too bad they're releasing a new reference studio phone as well, my wallet doesn't exist any more :frowning2:

It looks like I will have my hands on an early preview pair to review (potential cosmetic blemishes as this not a retail version so I might not be doing a photo shoot). If it works out I will post some initial impressions followed by a full review.

I recieved an email this morning asking if I was interested which I promptly replied YES PLEASE!! Along with my mailing address. I haven't heard back yet. But I assume early next week or a bit later in all likelihood.

Needless to say I was excited with the opportunity.

I ordered a pair of black K545s over the weekend when Harman apparently said they have them in stock. They said they would have my shipping information(tracking #) by today but it has not come yet. The black K545 is now backordered to December.
