I might be purchasing the K401, but I don't want to spend too much on an amp that I can't take with we on the go. I was thinking the fiio e17 would be nice, but I need some input.
Portable amp for AKG k401?

But would the e17 still work? And a DAC would be nice. That JDS looks great but I have a budget of around 150$ sorry forgot to mention that.

I would get the JDS but it's out of my budget. Does anyone have any experience with xenos?

And is the JDS really that much better than the e17? Cuz it would be nice to have a DAC too...

If you stretch your budget by a tiny bit, you can get the Leckerton UHA-4, which has an amp that is C5 quality and also a DAC that is better than E17.

I honestly don't know. I was told that the stock one is the best unless I have other specific needs. Stock one is supposed to have best battery life and least interference(rfi, emi). When in doubt, just go for the stock one. After all, there is a reason Nick chose it to be stock.
