Fischer Amps: FA-4 E XB - Rhapsody series (3/4/5 drivers upcoming)

By any chance can some compare the size of these to any westone earphones? I'd like to get an idea on the size of the housing.

Also, any sound comparisons between um3x or w40?

These are small considering 4 drivers are mounted inside, fit is just awesome.

My um3x non rc are broken so i can't compare them directly but from what i remember the fa 4e sounds easily better, wider soundstage, more extended at both ends, more clarity and resolution and separation is as good.

Have you received your new cable as yet?

Yes received it today as you said cable looks premium all the way and feels really soft and flexible it also came in a nice box. Can't comment about the sound cause I didn't realize i picked the shure connectors :frowning2: I'm waiting if they let me exchange it if not is going for the sale-trade forum. Anyway looks and feels fantastic and from averagejoe review's sound is great and the person I talked from null audio told me highs are not recessed in anyway

I've checked their web and it said all the products are returnable so i guess i could exchange it...

Hi guys, this thread cost me 399 EUR right now :) FA-4 is on the way from Thomann. After few months of listening music with Noble 4 I sold it because they are too much flat and not enjoyable for me.
I hope that I will be more happy with FA-4.

I've been reading you caraca08 and I know you tried many high en iems so your words are appreciated in this thread :)

In btw congrats Lukasz for me it's been the best purchase ever made on iems and while these are very revealing you won't get bored with them due their slightly v shaped sound and their sub bass rumble

Color me impressed. There are few iems that I feel are worth their retail price, especially as you get above the $400 threshold but these are pretty Damn impressive. Of course u paid 275$ used for mine but I can't find a fault with these.

The fit is so comfortable for me. A needed change from bigger shells and wider canals. They sit more flush with my ear which makes it more comfortable to sleep in.
The sound seems pretty balanced to me. I tend to prefer more bass but I like how the bass is done on these. Still has texture and impact without ring the star of the show. I'm digging the imaging. The highs aren't fatiguing but have great detail.
One thing I am unsure about yet is the timbre. Sometimes it seems spot on but other times might be off. I need more time with them.
I have my updated ASG2.5 and Shure SE846 coming early next week and I thought the Fischer would be the first to get the boot but now that I have them, I'm not so sure. Is it going to be the absolute best of the 3? Maybe not but at half the price of the ASG and 1/3 the price of the 846, it might end up being the winning. As much as I value sound, I also hold value in very high regard.
These really do need more attention and for me, I never looked into it because it seemed hard to obtain from their vendor.

Should be a good complement to your ASG-2.5s due to different sound signatures, but damn at that price you got it's a steal!
Definitely more impressions are most welcomed!

I'm using my meridian explorer dac and just got a friend of mine to fix my govibe Martni+. So plugged the Govibe into the lineout of the Explorer sounding using a gold/silver interconnect sounding good ok. Just for kicks I decided to try out an old interconnect just silver and copper and just wow new life, forwarded vocals, deeper bass and even soundstage improved ! Has anyone tried the amps with a hybrid cable such as the one offered by ChrisHimself Cables ? Just got me thinking ??

I used to have (will have again) a hydra 4-braid silver/copper hybrid from NocturnaL Audio. Great cable. Too bad one of the connectors lost the signal. But getting it fixed. Sent it back last week. A really good cable. I've tried Fiio Spc, 93spec silver and stock copper and I preferred the hydra to all of those. So I'm seriously longing to have it back over my ears.
