[REVIEW] Aurisonics ASG-2 & 2.5 (with many comparisons)

I also agree with you. Mine are just set at minimum (I think) and I don't feel the bass needs any tweaking. I don't really want more or less bass.

There's no way you would be adjusting these all the time. Just set them how you like them and enjoy. They respond really well to bass in the track, hitting hard when they have to and not when they don't. I can't imagine how bassy these would get if mine are at the minimum bass level.

I also must say, the bass goes low on these 2.5's. For an IEM, it is fantastic! Certainly not lacking in sub-bass. If this was a problem in the previous version, then looks like they were successful in adjusting that on the 2.5's.

I've decided to pull mine off the FS thread. I'm really happy they didn't sell, now. I just needed some more time with them.

Hahaha, I figured that's what would happen.

^^ Sorry dude.

I've got to be honest, I have a bias towards not wanting to like new gear because then it means I have to take another hit to my wallet. I make up my mind too quickly, and I do this all the time.

Probably why I got rid of the TH-900 and Sig DJ very fast. I didn't want myself to like them because they cost too much for a poor guy like myself. Also, it meant I wouldn't have been able to try other gear had I kept those.

In this case, I might have to clear out some other gear I don't need. These are actually sounding better to me the more I listen to them.

Dude, no apologies necessary! Helps me out a little since someone also offered a straight trade with their... earphones by the brand we're not allowed to mention.

Nevermind! I must have had the bass port open earlier...

I bought a small flat screwdriver to adjust the knob, and said bye to that awesome bass. Still really lovely sound, just cleaner down there. Now, it sounds brighter and leaner.

Still really nice, I just have to play around to find if I like a little extra bass (I think so) or the more neutral sound without the bass.

It really does make an audible difference, which is a nice thing to know.

just make sure you adjust both the same. They go opposite ways. I had one fully open and on closed... Didn't realize it. There is a mark in the screw, it's not missing paint. there is a dash and a little circle, dash indicates closed, circle open. Hope that helps, I just learned that myself recently. lol

I really appreciate the tip, thanks! It is important to get them the same. I've played around with it for a while, and it seems I like them around the first mark from closed.

Great IEM's, I am growing super fond of these. I've legit had them in my ears pretty much all day.

I bought a pair of these for $200...used obviously, but in perfect condition. Best $200 I've ever spent. Even brand new, these are so underpriced. Compared to other IEMS I've heard, these would fall in $1k+ territory... IMHO.

Just got in a silver cable made by somebody on eBay, seriously - it totally opened up the ASG-2 to new levels of detail and resolution. Plus they are now airy sounding!
10/10 would recommend
This is coming from a complete cable skeptic. I am now a believer :)
If you are finding the stock cable a little boomy and smeared sounding, give a silver/silver-plated copper cable a chance.
