Only around 10 hr battery life? It seems heavy at around 150grams=5.3 ounces.

Is this much better than the Fiio X3?

The X3 is $200 now, however I have a feeling in a few months when it isn't so new the X3 will probably be discounted to $150 or less.

Nah, the battery is user replaceable and not some obscure one either, so I can get  one of those polarcell batteries I like that have bigger capacity and last longer and are the exact same size. You can always keep a couple of these in your wallet and you're are set. And no, the fiio products don't get discounted like that - I know there's always wishful thinking but that's just not happening - or at least not in the next couple of years.

The Fiio amps are discounted rather substantially. That is why I think the X3 will probably drop to $150 or less once production is geared up, and the initial demand met. If they can get it down to $99 sales volumes would be HUGE. There are many stubborn people like me who refuse to pay over $100 for an mp3 player.
