New custom IEM company - Custom Art: discussion, review, and impressions thread

I confirm : I have white icewood faceplate since November - not moved a bit.
Same with the white solid body.

I've Music One in white, they are always with me, in my pocket or in my bag, and the color is the same as the first day.

That's awesome news! Thanks. The white silicon looks the nicest, to me.

Thank you very much for your detailed review.

There must be a big gap between demo and custom of Ei.3, because, while I know bigger bass monsters than Ei.3, and while I wouldn't describe them as bass pumping beasts, there is also NO WAY that I would qualify Ei.3 as lacking bass extension.

Or it must really be that you are comparing it with planar cans, because Ei.3 has significantly more subs than my SE5 or H8P, albeit less than Penta or EM32.

As you will see in my upcoming review, the main improvement I could see with the Ei.3 is highs decay, which is too fast for cymbals for me. But then Ei.3 is made for rap, EDM and hip-hop, not rock.

**disclaimer - I am very much NOT a basshead **

Thanks for review!

To add to it:
  Build Quality:
The build of the Ei.3 is also something I won’t be able to get into in too much detail. However, I can offer some insight here. Upon inspection, there are no bubbles to be seen on the shell. There are, however, a few smears on the inside of the shell that I’m guessing to be some sort of glue. I assume that the actual custom Ei.3 with be near flawless as there is a lot more space to put the drivers in. In addition, Piotr products have generally been beautiful to look at and very well built. Piotr also notes that he has since improved his skills at crafting acrylic IEMs, so it only gets better from here on.

I would also like to note that Piotr makes some fantastically comfortable IEMs. I’ve bugged Piotr before about considering making universals, but it seems that there are a few road blocks preventing that. Oh well… a man can dream though.

The shell is 3D printed in 3rd party company we have no control over printing quality, but since most shells are acceptable quality and those only demos I don't stress about imperfections.

For the sound, I tend to agree with @MrButchi's opinion. FWIW I wouldon't call Ei.3 rolled-off on lows either, especially since it uses vented driver which by nature boosts sub-bass but you know...
If anything highs are rolled-off, which was done deliberately

But I guess it's the difference demo vs custom makes. Demo will always has its weaknesses compared to custom, plus, it's sleeves-sensitive.

Yes, but we don't do it ... yet.

One day we'll be able to get our ears 3D scanned and impressions and shells might even be 3D printed - perfectly accurate, with no need for remolds or refits.

I think that sounds like a super cool future for CIEMs!

(Unfortunately, it seems like the accuracy of silicon 3D printing isnt very high, last time I checked.)

Not only the accuracy of 3D printing, the 3D scan of your ears would still be subject to inaccuracies caused by the flexibility of your earducts (jaw open, jaw closed, that kind of thing).

@piotrus-g: I noticed in @Cotnijoe's review that Comply tips were used. I vaguely remember that it was suggested to use Sony Hybrid tips for best results. Since the review tour has now started, can you please remind us what tips the demos were tuned with?

Well that explain roll-off at bass. Complys are rolling off lowest frequencies.
Yes, it's best to use Sony Hybrids or any tips with opening diameter no bigger than 5mm and no smaller then 4mm.
