take it easy boy.. i just wondered.

I feel it is an obvious upgrade in terms of sq and higher portability without needing an amp. X5 reveals more detail and better note quality and balance/transparent...some firmware bugs but will soon be ironed out much like other daps. Except big boy like Sony
If u have chance try and demo it will worth your time
Thanks, that's the answer. One more, if you don't mind, does X5 have exaggerated bass like X3?
I'm sure its been asked, but forgive me for not wanting to sort through 258 pages. Whats the price on this thing? I've been thinking how nice it would be to have a player that would have dual micro SD slots.
Hi James,
Will it work the same way as E18 where you can play media from your smartphone through X5? For example, if I can use micro-usb to micro-usb OTG cable that came with E18 and connect my Galaxy Note 2 to X5 to use as external DAC for my smartphone? Would have been great to be able to play media from smartphone through X5 (like watching or streaming movies, YT, playing games, etc.).
Also, any plans for a more heavy duty (TPU like) case for X5? Current silicon skin is cool, but I'm afraid it won't provide much of drop/corner protection or screen protection. Just thinking from smartphone perspective
Last but not least, "Shortcut keys" upper left control button, can you change the assignment of it, etc? Clicking on it always takes me to Play Setting menu. Would have been great to assign something else to it like "Now Playing", so when you are scrolling through menu items you can get back to your playlist with a Shortcut instead of using a wheel to scroll to it.
Overall, my first impression of using X5 since receiving it yesterday (with Westone W40 and FiiO RC-SE1 cable) is AMAZING!!! I still can't wipe a smile off my face since the moment I power it up last night to play a few of my fav tracks. Even the same 320kbps mp3 track played from Note 2 w/E18 and from X5 sound less compressed and brighter. I'm very impressed!!! Full review to follow....

2, we have decided to find a factory to help us make a TPU cas for X5 in the future.
1, X5 is not designed to work as DAC for smartphone because the power supply issues.

350 bucks apparently.
Edit: You don't need to read 250+ pages. There is a search function, just type price there, in less than 30 seconds you should be able to see yourself.
