Dude, the method you mentioned. Is based on the new files that we updated? How do you executed this method?

Ok lets say i have 5 folders, each with 20 files. And the library update stops at 25. That means file 25/26 is problematic. In this case that file would be the 5/6th file in the second folder. Does that make sense?

 
Ok, I have to copy those new files to another SD cards to do my checking. That will be a better way to know which song is causing me the problem. Normally you guys will remove the file?

Basically use the method i mentioned to isolate the folder. Copy the folder to another sd card, and re run the update with just the new card. It should help you better pinpoint the file im the folder

As others have pointed out, our current development cycle is going back to the X3, which has gone for too long without a firmware update. As soon as the version 3 firmware for the X3 is released we can go back to attending to both the X3 and X5 in equal measure.

 
So I take it that in a few months you will be saying "We are going back to the X5 which has gone far too long without a firmware update"?
 
Doesn't really insight much confidence when you have an X1 and X7 coming soon which should take most of the time your devs already barely have.

Um, do you have an iBasso DX90? I do. I also have a Fiio X5. I think they're both great DAPs with a similar level of new-player bugginess that both companies are working hard to address. Just don't want people being misinformed about severity of bugginess with either player or developing any kind of us vs. them mentality.

I did have one. I returned it. I'm not so sure they are on an even level of bugginess, and in any case, I was telling my thoughts to a person that obviously do not want to get himself in any more firmware troubles.

  any idea what causes the updating of media library to freeze when doing manual updating?
 
I just added tons of songs and it just freeze at the "No 1538", don't tell me I have to remove 1 by 1 to check which one causing the problem? 

If you remember how you selected and added those tracks, you can try adding 1500, and then, if successful, keep adding 100 at a time, taking note of them. Eventually, the manual scan will freeze, and you will know your suspect is in the last 100 songs. Re-add 50, then 25, and so on. That's how I found my bad tracks.

For me it was a matter of some of those additional files that always come along when you download some songs so yes i deleted them.

Instead of one ..it became many and yet u still search for sumthing better . One post two post ...you're in man ....20 ...50 ...100 posts ...and too late ... Girlfriend start asking what the hell are you doing with that earphone ...How many ears you have ....how many hours you have to listem to those damm earphones .... What the heck are you doing with tip rolling like some kind of mad scientist exprementing ....dont see you spending that much time with your motorbike anymore and giving it a polish ...kekekeee much overdue . Her favourite nag is OMG U R IN HEAD FI AGAIN ..... I wish you were on some porn site ..at least I would get some attention later.

Well ...she did a nasty one on me one day... Hide my earphone away when she had to go work for 2 days in another state ....man ...that was torturing ...the anxiety n agony of coming back home and finding all of it gone ... Lessons learn ...lock it up because u will never know when you will have a row with yr gf or wife ..they might just burn it or put it into the washer.

For audio addict shopaholic buyer only ..you have been warned.

Update ...she just took my Fiio X3 and said she will use it as her mp3 player because the other day I show her Fiio X5 and said I might get it ....poor me now left with no X3 and have to use my Samsung S2 which is a bummer.

Advice ...dont tell them anything or how good the player or earphone sounds or else ...

You guys still haven't learned, you get on Head-Fi after the spouse goes to bed. If they ask in the morning, just tell them you were looking at porn, much easier to explain looking at that at 2 in the morning as opposed to talking with others on Head-Fi, they will never understand that.
