"That Guy"
In adventure motorcycling circles there's a name for the guy that's always late to get loaded up; always needed to stop to take a piss just after having had a break somewhere; always wanting to lead, but making wrong turns. He's called "That Guy." On this trip the AK120 was That Guy. And were it not for the fact that the AK120 is absolutelty terrific on a plane, it would have been hucked of a cliff or thrown in the fire. It pissed me off at every available opportunity.

From Tyll Hertsens article here: http://www.innerfidelity.com/content/gadgets-grid

This is deal because of AK100/120 pricing, and not to forget Tera Player showing the world how no feature DAP can sit on top of price chain. Even I would like to belive this DAP will be closer sound to DX100 or other pricey DAPs, my fear is it will more likely to sound like Cowon players like J3 with clean sound but better power than J3.

I do hope it sounds better than a J3. I prefer my clip over my j3!

Anyone received their tracking stuff yet?

Nope. I have emailed them asking which batch and haven't heard back from them.

Yeah...he exagerates a lot to try and be funny. The dx100 was much less convenient and still very acceptable. People just like to complain.

That's what attracts me to the DX50 - the simplicity. No wifi, bluetooth or other gimmicks, it's just a music player.

I think you should get one. Nice review compared to its big brother would be most welcome. Also thinking about features, like usb otg and all, it can be wonderful for a person like you, who listens to music at office desk, not very active and mobile all the time.

Have a look at my Head-Fi budget:

That's the only minor thing keeping me from doing such a review
