Yes, the AR-M1 is basically an engineering failure with only 4 to 6 hours of play back time. Does not even support 48KHz files ***!!! 48KHz sample rate files would cause the AR-M1 to freeze. The sound is not that amazing either. I am extremely sorry that I ever purchased it. IT IS ABSOLUTELY a MISTAKE. Many other DAPs that are priced less excel in almost all aspects when compared with the AR-M1.

This is the problem with people refusing to let an old, obsolete, thread die.

This thread relates to this:

But some head-fiers insist on including discussion about this:

even though there is a proper dedicated thread, which has existed for 3 months:

Hey my thread is not old and obsolete! Just kidding, I unsubscribed long ago.

Just so long as you and I are not old and obsolete, everything is alright in my world!

They did not even become close to iPod as the User Interface sucks. It is just a cosmetic lame imitator. The sound is not bad but it does not worth $800 either.

their M2 makes more sense.. they're asking similar price for their new M2.
M2, however, has a terrible folder browser which shows the entire folders in your SD card in one screen.
They're refusing to fixing this quickly.... unbelievable.
