Well, I'm wondering  how the xb700 bass (or xb500, or xb1000) compare to the one of good Iems.
Otherwise the xb700 is less bassy than the xb500, just read some comparison reviews here.
But frankly just get some good dynamic transducer based iems, and stop caring about bass.

So I'm better XB700?

Sony has a new line of X cans with 50mm drivers

You can more than likely find a pair of XB 700 around, definitely listen for yourself, I enjoy the XB1000 because of the 70mm drivers and the wider soundstage.

Never stop caring about bass, bass is the foundation.

I meant , it's hard to get the same satisfaction from full size headphone.
My big disappointment was with the hd25 II 1, every one raving about their bass,
and then I realized it's quite limited compared to my Iem.
From what I've heard the vmoda are better on that area.

And I disagree for the bass being "the foundation" , depends of the kind of music you listen.
Classical lover are more interested by the treble.
Actually I'd think it's the mids that are the foundation, because of vocals.

The XB800 cost too much.
Which means that the XB500 is better than 700?? 700's have 50mm driver ...
I may have found the 700 at cheap price from China ...

According to sony marketing , the xb700 is better because it has bigger driver , and more expensive.
According to some head-fi members, they prefer the xb500, because the (mid ?) bass is more emphasized.

Use the search of this forum with the keywords xb500, xb700, for a more detailed comparison.
