Dr Dre beats studio's, Thank you for bringing me to head-fi

Their advertising is "The way the 'artist' (read "Dre") intended you to hear it." Simply telling everyone it is studio (flat EQ) sound when it was really designed to emphasize bass. Which in turn makes them scoff at anyone who doesn't wear Beats or have "bass heavy" headphones (now identified as "accurate" by the misinformed public), which reinforces that train of thought.

The "beats image" and false advertising is what I despise.

Time to buy a proper pair of headphones then, if you think that being overpriced is all that's wrong with them

Oh, and a proper source and amp too while you're at it. We'll see what you think of the Beats then.

All setups work for you until you hear better, that's the whole point of being here to begin with

Then one must wonder why you're still here quoting my posts

Then one must wonder why you're still here quoting my posts :deadhorse:

Because I find it exasperating that the sole aim of your posts seem to be to make someone dissatisfied with a set up that he is happy with.

If it only takes a stranger posting online about better gear than the one you own saying you should try better - I have to once again tell you that you're definitely on the wrong website.

This is an audiophile forum, where people discuss - tada - better audio gear. If you get exasperated from reading people telling you that X is better than Y, in a thread where the title implies that by coming on Head-Fi, you'll find better than the Beats headphones at that, then once again - you're on the wrong forum.

I don't see what's wrong with telling people they should try different headphones than Dre Beats. That's the whole point of them coming on Head-Fi to begin with, and that's why this thread was created.

Well I think that the guy who likes his beats was making a useful contribution to the thread and I see no point in trying to convince him that his whole set up
Is somehow "wrong".
If someone comes on here and says that they are unhappy with an aspect of their sound then advice is needed.
If someone posts that they are happy with the sound that they are getting from their set up I see no value in undermining that.
As to whether I should be on this forum who the hell made you the gatekeeper?

I don't see how one can 'undermine' anything audio related, or how I did so. At the end of the day, if you're happy with what you have then you'll ignore my opinion and all will be well with the world. He gave his opinion saying he liked his Beats Pro, I gave mine, and suggested he try something different of comparable value because the chance of him finding better gear at the same price is extremely high. Once again, that's the whole point of joining the Head-Fi community.

Now I'm not going to argue semantics with you for an hour - you can feel free to think that Beats Pro are the end-all of sound pinnacle, and I can feel free to disagree and post about it to my heart's content, and if you make use of your membership here to do a quick search on the topic, you'll find I'm far from being the only one who thinks so. If it hurts your feelings that I personally think the Beats Pro are crappy headphones not worth a quarter of the price they cost then I suggest you grow thicker skin - you'll need it everytime you read a topic about a piece of gear you own. That's friendly advice - not being a gatekeeper. :)

I think you misunderstand me. I don't own any Beats. In fact I have only ever heard them briefly in an airport.
I was just trying to counter what I see as a common failing on this and other forums.
The headlong rush to encourage people to spend money.
But you are right. This has gone on too long.
It's Sunday and a day off work for me and I hope you.
Let's remain friendly and let this thread bump along its merry way.
All the best. :)

Why give it?

I have read countless posters smash a company that has sprouted countless imitations which have led many down the path to Higher-Fi. I owned Beats studios..amped em' Felt very sad and moved on. Why play "I get the last word" with somebody? You seem petty and adding there is an army of other folks who feel just like you which of course makes your stance more ...I dunno....valid? real.? Who cares?...Folks like you make folks like me quit forums.

Grow up.

I will ignore and avoid you. I just blocked you.....nice handy little tool
