I've been waiting for a long time to see a worthy contender to Vettel.
Lets hope next year is different, this one seems to be pretty much set.

It could be Hulkenberg, if he's got a competitive Ferrari next year. He was pretty impressive this race... It all depends on what the cars are like next year. With the current pecking order I think Vettel is untouchable.

Missed Lewis off that was what really cost him not the delay by Sutil.

  Couple pictures from Qualifying.

Go Red Bull, go!

Go Grosjean, go!

Any idea which turns? 4, 5 and 7 are the trickiest at high speeds. 7 gets me 90% of the time when playing GTR2.

Turn 1 is hard to carry speed through, but not hard simply to take. Turn 7 is definitely the hardest turn on the track for me, in every version of it I've ever played (never driven there in reality) - although the Parabolica can be a real killer if you enter it wrong, because you can lose half a second with a sloppy line through there. Or gain 3 tenths, like Vettel did pretty much every lap; he was the same speed or slower than Alonso everywhere else, but he always got back a big lump there. Since I doubt Alonso was taking a rubbish line into the curve consistently, I put that down to the high-speed aerodynamics of the Red Bull.

EDIT: I don't usually think of 4 or 5 as being hard - that's where I usually gain most of my lap time over the AI racers, particularly if I can get a nice exit off of 5. But then I've always had issues with chicanes and not so much with proper corners.

Agree on the Parabolica .

For me, turns 4 and 5 are tricky because the entry speed and line matters a lot. Because the turns are banked slightly, a good entry on these works like a slingshot. The combination of these two works even better if done the right way, and if the exit speed is nice, you can gain some time while reaching turn 7.

So before it becomes official, what do we think? Kimi to Ferrari? Kimi and Fernando together would certainly be a formidable constructor's championship challenge, but unless the 2014 Ferrari is dominant it might result in a 2007-like split of the driver's (which ironically Kimi benefited from before). Or Alonso to Lotus and Raikkonen and Hulkenberg at Ferrari? Or Alonso to McLaren, Grosjean out and Button and Massa to Lotus? Probably not the last one.

Kimi and Alonso at Ferrari and win Constructor's.
Massa and Hulkenberg at Lotus and take second in Constructor's.
Red Bull takes third.
Grossjeans takes Hulkenberg's seat.

Look what just popped up.

Massa reveals he is leaving Ferrari at the end of 2013 F1 season

Raikkonen is now in pole position to secure the Ferrari seat alongside Fernando Alonso, with team insiders admitting that one of its key criteria because of the engine change was to go for an experienced pairing.
Massa's options with frontrunning teams in F1 appear to be quite limited, with McLaren set to retain Jenson Button and Sergio Perez, and Lotus believed to favour Nico Hulkenberg if it loses Raikkonen to Ferrari.

“If it works, the constructors’ title will be harder for us,” Red Bull’s Dr Helmut Marko told Bild newspaper.

I'll say. Vettel's good, but good enough to outscore Alonso and Kimi? I don't think so. And I wouldn't stack Ricciardo up against either of them. I think unless the 2014 Ferrari is a dog they've got a pretty good chance of having that constructor's championship in their pocket, although Mercedes also has a distinct possibility of challenging - they've got one of the strongest driver pairings around right now. The only issue with the 2014 Ferrari pairing is that neither of them is an outstanding qualifier, and both of the Mercedes drivers are - for that matter, both of the Red Bull drivers are also as strong (or stronger, for Ricciardo) at qualifying as they are at racing.

I am preparing for a 6h endurance at Monza right now. Running the Corvette c6r in rFactor 2 and an approved modern monza mod. Lesmo 2 is the corner I have the most respect for honestly. Being to aggressive there and it don´t take much to mess up. Be to non aggressive and you lose tons of time.

The kerbs can be nasty and the lesmos and chicanes always feel like the are at the wrong angle but overall I don´t think it´s a track that really differentiate good from bad drivers much as more technical circuits do. But it´s a great track for racing though not that exciting to drive. In simracing anyway :)

I think if Ferrari picks up Kimi, they could win Constructor's without actually winning a single race.

(I assume that's possible, don't wanna do the math)

Raise the ride height of the car up some at Monza and take more of the curbs at Lesmo 2.

Well, to me Monza is challenging in the sense that you get to see how fast your car can go. Its  a high speed track through and through, and only cars that have a good balance of torque and rpm can make it to the top.
The turns aren't that difficult by themselves, but they become harder at high speeds.
Cars like the Ferrari 550 achieve some of the best timings here in GTR2.
