About the GIGO principal...I was using an Echo MiaMid soundcard or Creative NJB3, mp3s at EAC/Lame aps, coustom cardas interconnects, and an X86 pimeta....the only garbage going in was the poor mastering of the recording. But what I heard was harsh, overly detailed (exposing the quality of the mastering), and lacking a lot of bass.
I may give the SR225 or better a chance if I ever get the chance to....there's NEVER a meet anywhere near me, and no store I know of carries them. Even if the bass is improved in them, wouldn't the high level of detail expose the poor mastering quality of the recording still?
