Hello all,

I will admit the mobile media player market is not something i really keep up with. Im looking for something new as a graduation present from college to myself. Im looking for an MP3 Player and a pair of headphones.

As far as the player is concerned, audio quality is number 1 need, but also either sizable storage or expansions slots Is a need, and lossless support is wanted.
 
Playlist capability is something I would also prefer, and an relatively easy way to create them, I have read that creating playlists on the Cowon devices can be somewhat of a chore.
 
I do have a giftcard to bhphotovideo so I would like to either purchase the player from there, or headphones if they have a pair that is good. I would definitely prefer either a headphone or player option from that website to help minimize the cost.
 
Can I ask for headphone suggestions here or would I be better off posting in the headphone forum itself?

How much do you want to spend? Have you considered the Sony Z series?

What's your budget? If you're looking for a cheap option, The Sansa clip is a great budget choice. You'd be better off posting on the headphones thread after you decide on your player, to see if anyone with the same player can offer some advice.

That's my mistake. I want to keep the player around or about 300

I haven't looked too much at the sony Z series but have read they do quit well. The issue I have with those is that storage is relatively small and from what I understand they aren't expandable.
 
I will also note that if I can get the best solution in this price range while using a player and an amplifier that is 100% ok by me
