NAD Viso HP50 : Another superb headphone from Paul Barton?

I'm not really that much of a fan either of the looks but for me a headphone is purely a listening device, not a fashion accessory so couldn't care less, it won't be used in public anyway.

I can't wait to hear more details on this one, hasn't any1 found any more news about it?

Very true.  Just commenting on what we know about so far...

Not one piece of news about these headphones since I started the thread.  I hope NAD does a better job making headphones than they do creating buzz for a new product launch............

I just saw this on Inner Fidelity, and Tyll has me stoked to try these out!!! I'm anxiously awaiting some reviews,... :)

tyll told me, he tried them at the high end in munich and was quite pleased with them.

IIRC he said that initially about PSB's M4U 2 after measuring them upon their release and then later flip-flopped and said that they were so bad he didn't even want to review them.

These NAD headphones spout the same room-feel feature that Tyll is eager about but he made absolutely no mention about it already being on the M4Us. I suspect they'll both (NAD & PSB) sound very similar to each other, and that's from my experience owning several generations of PSB speakers.

edit:
Tyll on PSB (initial write up I think)

Well, if they do sound similar, and he hated the former, I'd definitely take his advice & pass - if it comes to that. I highly respect Tyll's reviews and opinions,...

Maybe you should pass....he actually "reviewed" a Beats by Dre headphone, but the PSB wasn't good enough to warrant a review...?

I think the big difference is with the PSBs you only got the "Room Feel" feature when using the amp. With the NADs they are passive so it will be there no matter what.
