Sony XBA-3IP competitors

Thread Starter

I just bought the Sony XPA-3IP from amazon for ~130 based on recommendations from people in in the sales thread but I think I might have been too hasty. For the listed price, would you guys recommend these headphones? Are there any better headphones available for around the same price?

Those are supposed to be not that comfortable, but for that price, a triple armature driver? nothing better IMO

ckm500 definitely looks interesting, those can compete with the xba-3?

They can compete and even outclass xba-4. if you prefer ckm500 soundsig.

Short answer: yes
I own both and the xba3 is way better.

Forget about amps and enjoy your music

IEMs are usually easy to drive. You don't need an amp.

I directly compared the XBA-3s and ATHCKM500s, and the ATHCKM500s sounded far, far worse. It was significantly muddier, and the highs were very muffled/muted on some tracks. XBA-3 >>>>> ATHCKM500.
