So i just got home, when i opened the door, a UPS package shows up.

HOLY (*@Q#$)(#!@_$
E mother ***** X  1000
(sry guys i still cant believe this..)
ps: also the package of Sansa Fuze, got em from ebay $25

Enough,
I plug it straight into my Sony Xperia S Cellphone (didn't i tell ya i'm a sony fanboy?)
IMPRESSIVE!
def a upgrade from EX600.
Compare to EX600:
+Wider Sound Stage
+Fuller Sound
+WAY better vocal/mid
+high is more present
+bass,, um maybe tighter, but almost the same as EX600(maybe need more time)
-but somehow i feel the overdive guitar sounds more enjoyable on the EX600?? (not sure why, maybe needs burn-in)

PS: i will test them on my Fiio E10 on Sat. Hopefully able to unleash these beasts.

Anyways,
Seems like 2013 is my lucky year lmao.

At the end,
Love you guys,  LOVE HEAD FI!

"Welcome to Head-Fi and sorry about your wallet." yup.

The EX1000 is a clear upgrade from the EX600 from my experience. Enjoy and it will only improve as you keep listening.

It sounds marvelous when the EX1000 pairs with Rockboxed iPod 5g/5.5g. That sound is just very musical to my ears. I say this because I compared it extensively to Cowon J3 and Rockboxed iPod classic (7th gen). The 5g/5.5g is clearly a winner to me.

3 questions:

1.They comes with EX600's cable, should i get the EX1000 cable to 'upgrade' it?
2. I notice the trebles are really harsh, are they gonna be gone after burn in?
3. What tips do you prefer?

Thanks

No comments on the cable upgrade b/c I never tried. The harshness in treble will subdue as you continue using it, though personally it has never been an issue. Keep in mind the synergy plays a role in the treble harshness so you need to pay attention to the dap as well. As for the tips, the large size silicone ones work the best for me.

Can't blame on you for not being a fan of apple, but don't fool yourself if you have not heard those Rockboxed ipods.

Yea, i realized that too.
DAP/DAC/AMP is really a matter for EX1000.

Also, i just rockboxed my fuze+.
compare it to my Sony Xperia S, Fuze has fuller sound.
However, Xperia has better spacious sound stage.

EDIT: Treble is not harsh on fuze+

I bought the EX1000 today after probably 4 years of thinking about whether I should by them or not! I hope I get as happy as you. I guess SM64 was not meant to be for now.
