T-PEOS H-200 - new triple hybrid IEM - Impressions thread

^ had both. Liked the DJ1 paint job more :) here is a photo with my old iPhone 3G. Also one with a E17. EQ Treble reducer on iPhone 4 worked nicely. I would leave the bass as is or up 2 steps and down the treble 1 step on the E17. Didn't touch EQ on the iPhone 3G(when used by itself). Old pics.

Agree, the DJ1 were nicer looking to my eyes. They don't sound too shabby either. :D

Excited. Just bought a pair off forumite Sinth to replace the Shure E5c's I bought 9 years ago and have barely used as they weren't very comfy. Sold em and let my P5s go too.

No clue, I know with the 100s they were trying to match GoldenEar's target curve, but that dip isn't in the curve.  It may be their way of controlling vocal resonances/harshness by taming the 5k excessively.  If I get my hands on them, I'll measure myself to ensure that person doesn't have a malfunctioning unit :p

I'm still waiting for my email. Guessing they don't email on weekends.

Probably from their crossover design. Was it intentional? not sure, but such dips are not that problematic when not critically listening from what I hear. What matters most is, from my perspective, the preference of the listeners, while its build quality could be subjected.

From what I hear, the measurements were done by the request of the manufacturer, T-PEOS. If that's the case, it's quite unlikely that the pair used is defective.

Worry not. It's just about 10AM in Monday now here in Korea. They will (probably) respond to you soon!

That 5K dip is oddly similar to the SM64 that Rin recently measured. I agree: If you like the sound, whatever about the dip. Personally, I like seeing measurements to better understand what I hear, not to define my preferences.

I don't understand the bolded. Don't they have their own measurements?? You know, to help them tune the IEM in addition to qualitative listening. Why do they need a 3rd party to do measurements? At that point they may as well release their own to have 3rd party measurements corroborate them, i.e. this is what we get and intended.

They wanted a third party source for measurements, IDK?

The 5k dip seems popular nowadays :p  Heir Audio IEMs, SM64, now this :p

Now that I think about it, it's somewhat odd indeed. However that's what I heard from somewhere in Seeko. Still, as such ready-made head and torso simulators and/or artificial ears are quite expensive, and considering T-PEOS is not really a big company (in terms of IEMs anyway) yet, it is somewhat understandable to have others with dummy heads to measure them.

Actually it was Rin himself who did the measurements on the H-200 on that page, so that gives somewhat of credibility.
