Yet another HE-500 or LCD-2 thread. These two REALLY have it going on and I can see why!

 

LCD-2= Smooth, organic mids, mildly heavy. Dark. Treble doesn't have as much energy as the HE-500. Bass is phenomenal. Almost 3D like imaging.

 

HE-500= Crisp, smooth, non-fatiguing treble, one of the best I've heard. Mids are a bit lighter and more clear. Bass sounds a LITTLE more loose than the LCD-2 but still has plenty of impact. Good instrument separation and soundstage, but I think the LCD-2 has a more 3D like imaging.
