I like Fantano, but he didn't include Aesop Rock's Skelethon, so I've gotta dock him points for that. :p

Is that your vid or someone else's?  Either way, I count 9 albums that should make it into my personal top 50 and a couple more that would've made it into my top 100... you know, if I was still compiling that sort of thing.

A question though, isn't NO LOVE DEEP WEB still scheduled to release officially next year?

It's someone else's, unless mutabor is secretly Anthony Fantano, aka: The Needle Drop. Fantano is a pretty popular Youtube music reviewer--I think he's actually the best such reviewer I've encountered, and is probably one of my favorite reviewers period. Him and I don't necessarily agree frequently, but that's what I like about him.

Fair enough.  I can't say that I've sincerely observed any proper album reviews outside of The Silent Ballet (ended its run earlier this year, unfortunately) in the past five+ years.

EDIT: Worth noting: I've listened to every album that he's listed from beginning to end.  Like you, I think that I'd disagree with his opinion more often than not.

I wonder that no one here mention Neil Young & Crazy Horse "Psychedelic Pill", if not the best, easy on top 5.
Maybe I`m growing old..

Weird lists. Some of it I agree with, but both get pretty significantly derailed at certain points.

To be fair, NPR's list is a listener's poll and I was sincerely surprised by a few of the inclusions AND omissions.  As for Rolling Stone's... ugh.

Serious question: does Rolling Stone still exist in print form?

I just always figured NPR listeners has better taste. Oh well. As for Rolling Stone--that is a very legitimate question. Honestly, I'm sort of surprised that they still exist in any form, period.

Green Day in the number 8 spot? ::Facepalm.::
