for those of you who don't know this artist, micheal hedges is technically in the 'new age' category.

i know, i know . . . i don't like new age either. but aerial boundaries is probably the most incredible guitar performance i've ever heard. it is simply unbelievable that most of these songs were recorded live in the studio without any overdubbing.

it hard to describe the power, intimacy, and subtlety of this album. the track *ragamuffin* blows my mind with each listen. a true masterpiece in 3 minutes and 15 seconds.

as a guitar player, i know a great playing. if you want to hear a true master at the peak of his prowess, pick up aerial boundaries.

but after hearing this record, you might not pick up your guitar for a while*.

I just couldn't let this thread go unanswered-

Thanks for the tip. I have a 1985 Michael Hedges "Watching My Life Go By" on vinyl, but haven't heard any of his work in years. Maybe now is a good time to jump in.
